Captiva Island places to stay

Captiva Island Vacation Rentals and Places to stay

Captiva Island is considered a sister island to Sanibel Island. North Captiva is confused as Captiva Island but they are very much different. North Captiva Island is a remote island and only accessible by boat.

Captiva Island is accessible by the Blind Bridge connecting it to Sanibel Island. Sanibel Island is connected to the main land from Fort Myers Sanibel Causeway Bridge.

Places to stay start with the many Beach houses and cottages. Many vacation rentals by owner’s homes and cottages have water front views. Captiva Island has several Bed and Breakfasts, resort, and condos offering several different alternatives to vacation rental by owner rentals.

Things to do:

Beaches:
Turner Beach (Blind Pass) a popular beach for shellers and fisherman. Not a good beach for swimmers because of the currents.

Captiva Beach, great for its sunsets.

Captiva beaches do not allow pets, Sanibel Island do allow leased pets

There are many rare birds and a number of places for bird watching
