Beachcombers will love this oasis on Sanibel Island, known for world-renowned shell-collecting. The 3BR cottage (sleeps 5) is surrounded by palms and lush greenery. Walk to restaurants and shops, short drive to wildlife refuge.
INSIDE THE HOUSE
Pull up the gravel drive with room for 3 cars and take in the yard surrounded by lush foliage. Take the paver path to the patio, where 2 Adirondack chairs and a table offer a place to sit and sip.
Enter the front door into the living room. The living room features white tile floors, a coffee table, sofa, a cloth-covered chair, and a recliner. A colorful corner table holds baskets of shells and a complimentary shell guide. A 50” TV, stereo, and games stock the entertainment center.
A wood breakfast bar separates the living room from the kitchen, with 2 wicker barstools lining each side, seating 4. The airy kitchen has all white cabinetry and appliances, including a dishwasher, electric stove/oven, refrigerator, coffeemaker, blender, and microwave. The nook-style laundry room is just behind the kitchen.
The screened-in patio is accessible from the kitchen. Step in the enclosed lanai to find seating. And on the back patio, there are 2 additional chairs and a full-size grill.
Note there are 5 bikes for guest use.
Back inside, take the hall off the kitchen to find a full bath and all three bedrooms. The master bedroom with palm theme is to the right and contains a king-size bed with beachy linens. The 2nd bedroom is to the left with 2 twin-size beds and an easy chair. Find the 3rd bedroom across the hall with a single twin bed and charming nautical décor throughout. Here, you’ll also find a desk with a printer and a comfy office chair.
This Sanibel Island bungalow is only 7 miles to Bowman’s Beach and a short drive to the natural wonders of J.N. Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge. Delicious eateries are within walking distance—Sweet Melissa’s Cafe offers creative takes on American cuisine ( 2 blocks) and Jerry’s is home base for sandwiches, breakfast, and brunch (.3 miles). Lazy Flamingo is also a wonderful restaurant and within walking distance.
See dolphins on a Sanibel Thriller boat tour (1.5 miles), and the Bait Box has everything you need for successful fishing adventures (less and 1 mile). Seeking an afternoon of golf or tennis? Don’t miss the Dunes, an easy bike ride or drive away.
