We are conveniently located one short block west of San Marco Avenue (A1A) across from the grounds of the historic Mission of Nombre de Dios, (location of a huge Cross and old Spanish cemetary). You can see the Cross when St. Augustine comes into view. We are within walking distance of The Castello de San Marcos National Monument (Spanish fort), Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum, and downtown St. Augustine, with its historic structures, restaurants, pubs and gift shops. We are also within walking distance of several tour vendors including The Old Trolley, Red Train Tours, and several haunted house and haunted pub tours. We are a short drive, or moderate walk to an old fashion child’s carousel and park. Our Cottage is 200 feet west of San Marco, right off Cincinnati Avenue. We are on a side street that is very secluded and quiet RIGHT in the middle of EVERYTHING. We are in what is referred to as the Uptown area. There are lots of shoppes, restaurants, and a wonderful family neighbourhood surrounding us. Within 200 feet of our cottage is Borellas Pizza and Luli’s Cup Cakes. There is a Dairy Queen approximately 1000 feet from our cottage, but to get to that you must pass the Raintree Restaurant which provides fine dinning.
Planning on visiting for a St Augustine Parade or July 4th, you will be perfectly situated for all the action. This is the perfect place to be! You can walk the 200 feet to the street and the bustle, or turn the TV up and hide from the world and order pizza.
Our secluded and Tranquil Hideaway is a 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage from the 70’s that is tucked behind a 6 foot stockade fence “PRIVACY”. There is a gate that provides easy pedestrian access, and a large gate that allows you to park 2 to 3 motorcycles inside the stockade fence. Our cottage is set up to provide for 4 people in 2 bedrooms.
