A private wooden boardwalk leads right from the deck over the dunes (look for turtles and rabbits!) and down to the beautiful sands of Ponte Vedra Beach. After your beachcombing, surf fishing, or boogie-boarding, step under the outdoor shower and leave the sand behind before settling onto the deck to dry off and enjoy the balmy air.
Stretch out in a lounge chair, get comfortable on the built-in bench, or dine alfresco at the casual table in the shade beneath the overhang. The deck is big enough for your whole group to enjoy some fresh salty air! The view is ever-changing and always beautiful, and the bird-watching is amazing – everything from the pelicans dive-bombing into the waves to catch fish to the exotic wildfowl of the dunes to the water birds that dance along the edge of the surf.
The deck will undoubtedly become your favorite spot at Ocean’s Edge, and there’s nothing like slipping out in the moments before the sun rises to watch the spectacular show on the horizon. You’ll feel as though you have a front-row seat to a rare natural wonder . . . and then it will happen all over again the next morning!
When it’s time to go inside, you’ll feel right at home in our A-frame great room, with vaulted ceilings, plenty of comfy seating, and a wood-burning fireplace. Beside the hearth you’ll find a large flat-screen TV to keep the kids entertained while the grown-ups prepare frosty drinks and tasty appetizers in the kitchen.
Both the eastern (beachfront) and western (sunset-facing) walls of the great room are filled with windows, so you never leave the views behind. This room can be flooded with light, and makes a great Sunday-morning place to read the newspaper, brew a big pot of coffee, and flip a few pancakes.
Speaking of sunny, the dining room is a glorious place to enjoy the ocean view and bask in the Florida sunshine. The long table for 8 sits in the morning sun, and there’s no more delightful way to wake up. Or, if you find you’re eating outdoors nearly every meal, use it as an activity center and set up a jigsaw puzzle on one end, a board game on the other. Everyone can stay together and chat as they play!
The kitchen at Ocean’s Edge is galley-style, but with a breakfast bar on one side and fully stocked cupboards and cabinets throughout. There are 4 bedrooms at Ocean’s Edge, each with its own bathroom and LCD TV. Two are master suites, with king-sized beds and ocean views; the other two each have 2 twin beds. All linens and towels are provided for every bed and bath here, as well as a washer and dryer to keep everything fresh. Pack light – you’re coming to a fully stocked house here!
